AIR works hard to promote the artists in these charts, we'd love your help in promoting the charts themselves. You can do this displaying these badges, which link back to the chart. They look cool on your website and they'll tell fans and interested parties that you are rocking the Australian Independent Charts. It's a great achievement, so say it loud and proud! We've developed a widget for you to embed in your website. Check it out below (coming soon). If you're a label, distributor or member of AIR you might want to host the independent charts on your website. It will update automatically when the charts are published, and it looks slick!

Radio Charts Information

We're really proud of our radio charts. These are the only independent radio play charts in the world! And thanks to D*Star they are powered by the most accurate reporting system available. To cut a long story short, The D-Star Spins system fingerprints your song by digitally reading it's wave pattern. When that wave pattern flies through the air via radio station broadcasts it will be recognised by the D-Star system and logged. It's far more accurate than playlist reporting or a randomised census. That said, for the system to recognise your song, you have to submit it to D-Star for fingerprinting. It won't cost you anything and it doesn't take much time. Go to www.dstarspins.com to submit your song, you can even check if D-Star are already monitoring your song here. They have an FAQ page too if you want to know more.

Staff Picks

We listen to heaps of music at AIR, we've just started adding weekly staff picks. We'll write a review, link to your site and tell everyone how great we think you are. If you're an independent artist, drop us a line, tell us about yourself and send us some music. It's harking way back to the days before "web 2.0" but sometimes we like to remenisce about the days of the compact disc, in fact we've got a record player here so why not send it in vinyl?)
